Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house having a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined residence money does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme nsfas 2025 for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
